Best. Mother’s Day. Outing. Ever. Yesterday, Genny and I had the express pleasure of attending a leisurely sponsored event at The Boardwalk at Towne Lake along with some fabulous bloggers and content creators! Being a food lover (as well as a shopping lover, sales lover, relaxation lover, and overall fun lover) I wanted to introduce this lovely center to you as the best destination for shopping and dining in Cypress, TX. I’m always looking for festive places to eat for date nights or family outings, and The Boardwalk has everything for you!
Attractions/Events
The Boardwalk hosts tons of family-friendly events such as free Gymboree class, story-times, a Farmer’s Market every 3rd Sunday of the month from 11:00-3:00, and live music every Friday and Saturday night. Their next upcoming event is the Boardwalk Boat Show on Sunday, May 26th (12-3). Check out their Facebook to learn about all the upcoming events!

Amid one of the fastest growing areas in the greater Houston area, Towne Lake is an award-winning planned community with its 300-acre lake, gorgeous housing, and many amenities. If you’re interested in living in Towne Lake you can book a FREE boat ride at the Towne Lake Welcome Center.
I loved the homey yet liberating feel of walking along the boardwalk. They have several places for kids to run around and play (a must when you’re shopping with the littles!) as well as plenty of seating for us tired, pregnant ladies!
Dining
Among their many delicious dining choices is the perfect date-night destination, The Flying Vine. On Mother’s Day, The Flying Vine will have a set menu including an ideal location for enjoying Mother’s Day lunch by the lake. They are available for private events and parties as well with their large, elegant wine room.
Shopping & Fun
The Royal Standard
If you’re a shopping addict, or if you just like to peruse the sales, The Royal Standard is the boutique for you! RIGHT NOW, their “Gift Giving” sale ends 5/11, just before Mother’s Day, so be sure to swing by for discounts on gifts for mom, graduation gifts, teacher gifts, etc.
Currently, their large bags are on sale for $12 (pictured), cosmetic bags for $5, and beach hats for just $15 (pictured)!! I adored all the prices as well as the assortment of jewelry, pamper-products, and accessories. On top of having a massive selection, they also can personalize everything from hats to wine glasses!

Lux Noa Nail Spa
The perfect end to a perfect day… soaking your feet and getting a manicure while sipping a cocktail. Of course, I couldn’t partake in the cocktail part. But Lux Noa is the perfect atmosphere for the whole family to enjoy some relaxation and pampering. Bring the kiddos for their own mani-pedis, bring your partner for a romantic escape, or get away from the day-to-day and soak those worries away.
Genny loved receiving her very first pedicure. I sat across the hallway, enjoying my own pedicure – a feat impossible to accomplish at most nail salons! Their kid-friendly spa room included a TV playing cartoons, little beauty chairs, and complimentary suckers for good behavior. This is truly a spa experience the whole family can enjoy!
